About Arnold Wright

Two Decades of Detail, One Bird at a Time

Arnold has been perfecting the art of bird taxidermy for over 20 years, turning what began as a childhood passion for waterfowl into an award-winning craft. Based in Athens, Ontario, he works with hunters and collectors across Eastern Ontario and beyond.
Trained alongside the late world-renowned bird taxidermist Jack Wilson, Arnold brings an intense eye for anatomy, posture, and habitat detail to every mount — from a simple sleeping pose to a full-strut turkey or a Peregrine Falcon mid-hunt.
He has competed at the Canadian Taxidermy Association, the Quebec Taxidermy Association, and the World's Taxidermy Competition in Springfield, Illinois, earning first-place finishes and Best of Show honours.

Award-Winning Craftsmanship

Arnold has competed at national and international level — earning first-place finishes at the Canadian Taxidermy Association and Best of Show at the Quebec Taxidermy Association. His Harlequin and King Eider mounts were recognised as the best duck pieces in Canada. His Best of Show work was featured in Breakthrough Magazine alongside North American competition winners.

Honest Rates, No Surprises

All mounts include a basic wall or pedestal base. Deposits required. Open-wing mounts add $75–$300 depending on species.

Ducks

All species. Eider ducks from $650. Sea ducks/Scoter $525.

Owls

$475–$650

Saw-Whet & Screech from $475. Great Horned, Great Grey & Snowy $650.

Raptors

$500–$1,500

Hawks & Falcons from $500. Eagles $1,500. Depends on species.

Geese

$600–$800

Canada Geese $600–$800. Snow/Speckled/Ross/Brant $650.

Upland Birds

$450–$600

Grouse & Quail $450. Pheasant $500. Prairie Chicken $600.

Turkey

$1,500

Full-strut Turkey. Exotics & custom mounts priced on request.

Payment: Cheque, money order or cash. Deposit: $100 for most mounts; $250 for mounts over $1,000. Glass encased mounts may require a higher deposit.
